How do you conduct online classes?

DMCFI’s physical classes is replaced with online classes where instructors and students can
interact through video conferences using Google Meet. Zoom and other accessible media
platforms. DMCFI is using Google classroom as its Learning Management System.

The class is scheduled both synchronous and asynchronous.

On synchronous classes, students with their instructors are both online and the learning takes place
in real time. Students are able to ask questions and receive instant feedback from their faculty and
participate in group work with other students. Instances that the students cannot go online, they
will be provided lecture notes or video recordings, supplements, etc. for self-paced instruction.

On asynchronous classes, students are provided with activities or assigned work and assignments
to be completed after the lesson. Students are given a time frame to complete their work. The
faculty is available to guide and assist students even in offline mode.

Asynchronous classes are scheduled to limit the screen time of students as recommended by the
American Pediatric Association to avoid the risk of developing health problems.
